4. Entry Period and How to Enter

(a) Entries open at the start of the Entry Period and close at the end of the Entry Period, as specified in Table 1. All times stated in these Official Rules are Pacific Time (PT).

(b) To enter, each Contestant must: (i) complete the online entry form at https://nexsolace.com/pages/supergroomer-s1, providing accurate and complete information; (ii) provide Contestant information and answer the questions in the entry form; and (iii) submit a signed Contestant Release and Waiver (Appendix A) and a signed Pet Owner Authorization (Appendix B), in each case in the manner specified on the Competition website and before the deadline.

(c) Each Contestant may submit only one (1) application. Application must be received before the end of the Entry Period. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, or misdirected entries, or for entry problems caused by technical, network, or electronic failures. Incomplete or non-compliant entries are void.

(d) By entering, the Contestant represents and warrants that all information submitted is true, accurate, and complete, and that the portfolio samples are the Contestant’s original work and do not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Contestant Release and Waiver

(a) Signing the Contestant Release and Waiver (Appendix A) at the time of entry is a condition of participation. The release constitutes the Contestant’s prior written consent, under California Civil Code § 3344, to the uses described in this Section 5 of the Contestant’s name, voice, signature, photographs, and likeness.

(b) By signing Appendix A, the Contestant grants the Sponsor and its licensees, successors, and assigns a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable license to photograph, film, record, reproduce, display, distribute, publish, and otherwise use:

(i) the Contestant’s name, likeness, voice, image, personal information, and statements relating to the Competition; and

(ii) portfolio samples and other works submitted by the Contestant or created during the Competition,

in any media now known or developed in the future, including, without limitation, the Competition website, social media platforms, press materials, event broadcasts, advertising, and promotional materials, without further notice, compensation, or approval, except where prohibited by law.

(c) This authorization expressly includes social media publication, sharing, and reposting by the Sponsor and its authorized partners in connection with the Competition and the Sponsor’s promotional activities.

(d) The Contestant waives any right to compensation and any moral rights or right of publicity claims arising from the authorized uses, and agrees not to assert any claim against the Sponsor or its licensees in connection with such uses.

(e) The authorization under this Section 5 is irrevocable with respect to uses made or authorized before the Contestant withdraws from the Competition or the Competition ends, and will remain effective after the Competition ends to the extent necessary to complete those uses.

(f) Signing the authorization is not conditioned on receiving any prize or other benefit; however, failure to sign the required authorization will render the entry incomplete and void.

6. Pet Owner Authorization

(a) Any images, videos, or other materials featuring a Pet may be submitted and used only with the Pet Owner’s prior written authorization. All entrants must obtain and submit a Pet Owner Authorization Form (Appendix B) signed by the pet’s owner before submitting any images, videos, or other materials featuring the pet or using those materials for any competition-related purpose, including judging and public display. Entrants who own the pet must also sign and submit the form as the pet’s owner.

(b) The Pet Owner Authorization must expressly include, at a minimum, the following:

(i) confirmation that the Pet Owner is the Pet’s lawful owner (or has lawful control over the Pet);

(ii) consent for the Sponsor to photograph, film, and record the Pet;

(iii) consent for the Sponsor to reproduce, display, distribute, and publish images of the Pet in all Competition-related media, including the Competition website, social media, and press materials; and

(iv) a specific, separate authorization permitting images of the Pet to be used in commercial advertising and marketing materials of the Sponsor and its partners, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

(c) If the Pet Owner is under eighteen (18) years of age, the Pet Owner’s parent or legal guardian must sign.

(d) The Pet Owner and Contestant jointly represent and warrant that: (i) the Pet Owner has the right to grant the rights described in this Section 6; (ii) the relevant materials do not infringe any third-party rights; (iii) the Pet is in good health and has received all vaccinations and satisfied all health requirements applicable under the requirements of the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County; and (iv) the Pet will be treated humanely throughout the Competition.

(e) The Contestant shall indemnify and hold the Sponsor harmless from any claims arising from the absence, insufficiency, or breach of the Pet Owner Authorization, as further described in Section 15.

7. Public Voting

(a) During the Voting Period specified in Table 1, the public may vote for Contestants through the voting platform at https://nexsolace.com/pages/supergroomer-s1.

(b) Each individual may cast a maximum of three (3) votes per calendar day across all eligible entries. Any unused votes will not carry over to the following day. Each of the three (3) votes must be cast for a different entry, and no entry may receive more than one vote from the same individual per calendar day.

(c) Users may vote directly without registering for or logging into an account.

(d) Votes generated by bots, automated scripts, paid vote-manipulation services, vote farms are invalid and will be removed. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify votes that it reasonably determines to be fraudulent, coordinated, or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules.

(e) Public voting is used only for the public-vote component described in Section 10 and is displayed on the leaderboard as described in Section 9. Public voting alone does not determine the winners.

(f) Voting pools for different stages of the Competition are independent. Votes do not carry over or accumulate from one stage to another. The valid total votes are recalculated separately for each stage.

8. Professional Judging

(a) A panel of [3] professional judges (the “Judges”) will evaluate all eligible entries according to the published judging criteria (Appendix C). The Judges are selected by the Sponsor based on their professional expertise and must have no financial or personal interest in the outcome. A Judge who has an actual or apparent conflict of interest with a Contestant must recuse themselves from scoring that Contestant.

(b) Judging will be conducted through an independent, password-protected backend scoring system. Individual judges’ scores are confidential and may not be provided, disclosed, or made public to Contestants or the public until the final results have been confirmed by the Sponsor and announced on the Announcement Date.

(c) During the judging period, Judges may not discuss their scores with Contestants or the public. Contestants may not contact Judges about scoring; any such contact may result in disqualification under Section 13.

(d) The Sponsor and its management personnel do not participate in determining individual judges’ scores. Judges exercise their independent professional judgment in accordance with the published criteria.

(e) If a Contestant fails to present the Pet for in-person judging as required, or otherwise fails to satisfy the judging requirements, the Sponsor may, in its reasonable discretion, score the Contestant based on the submitted materials or disqualify the Contestant.

9. Leaderboard and Final Rankings

(a) During the Voting Period, the Sponsor may publish a public leaderboard on the Competition website showing each Contestant’s cumulative number of Public Votes.

(b) The leaderboard reflects public voting only. It does not represent, and must not be presented as, the Competition’s final combined ranking.

(c) The following disclaimer must appear on the leaderboard and any materials derived from it:

“This leaderboard displays public votes only and is not the final ranking. The final ranking will be determined in accordance with the Official Rules by combining public votes with scores from independent professional judges.”

(d) The final ranking will be determined solely in accordance with Section 10 and announced on the Announcement Date.

10. Competition Stages, Scoring Mechanism, Advancement, and Tie-Breaking

The Competition consists of three stages: TOP 20 Selection → TOP 3 Selection → TOP 3 Five-Day In-Person Final. Each stage is scored independently and advancement is determined separately, as set forth below.

(a) Stage One: TOP 20 Selection (selecting 20 advancing Contestants)

Participants: All valid and compliant entries.

Schedule: November 16, 2026 – November 20, 2026.

Selection mechanism: No public voting takes place during this stage. The NEXSOLACE official judging panel will conduct a professional preliminary screening through the official website entry platform, based on the portfolios of past work and overall qualifications submitted by participating groomers, and will select 20 outstanding pet groomers to advance to the next stage.

Ties: If multiple Contestants have equivalent qualifications and are competing for the final advancement slot, priority will be given in the following order: (1) the Contestant with the higher portfolio-completeness and technical-skill score; (2) the Contestant with more professional experience; and (3) the Contestant who submitted their entry earlier.

(b) Stage Two: TOP 3 Selection (selecting 3 of the 20 Contestants to advance to the final)

Participants: The TOP 20 advancing Contestants.

Schedule: November 21, 2026 – December 1, 2026.

Scoring weights: Final Score for this stage = (Public Voting Score × 30%) + (Judges’ Panel Score × 70%).

Aggregation of votes across entries: Votes are counted by entry. A groomer’s total Public Votes are the sum of the votes received by all entries submitted under that groomer’s name.

Voting rules: Each individual may cast a maximum of three (3) votes per calendar day across all eligible entries. Any unused votes will not carry over to the following day. Each of the three (3) votes must be cast for a different entry, and no entry may receive more than one vote from the same individual per calendar day. The official website will update and display the leaderboard of each groomer’s cumulative public votes in real time (reflecting real-time vote totals only, not the final weighted ranking).

Advancement: Contestants will be ranked from highest to lowest Final Score for this stage, and the top three (3) will advance to the TOP 3 Five-Day In-Person Final.

Ties: (1) The Contestant with the higher Judges’ Panel Score takes priority; (2) the Contestant with the higher score for “Technical Skill” under the judging criteria takes priority; and (3) the Contestant who submitted their entry earlier takes priority.

(c) Stage Three: Los Angeles Five-Day Touring Ultimate Challenge (determining the champion, runner-up, and third-place winner)

Participants: The TOP 3 advancing Contestants.

Schedule: December 3, 2026 – December 7, 2026 (challenge period); December 3, 2026 – December 11, 2026 (comprehensive judging period).

Five-day challenge schedule:

Day 1 (12/03): Street Customer Acquisition Challenge. At the venue, attract customers and groom their dogs.

Day 2 (12/04): Charity Grooming Service. Volunteer at an animal-welfare organization and provide free grooming, including trimming the coats of stray dogs.

Day 3 (12/05): Mystery-Box Challenge. Draw a mystery box and groom a challenging dog (for example, a dog with matted fur or a difficult temperament).

Day 4 (12/06): Custom Influencer Makeover. A dog influencer’s owner is invited to issue a challenge, and the Contestant must meet the owner’s specified grooming requirements.

Day 5 (12/07): Holiday-Themed Project. Give dogs recruited earlier in the process a Christmas-themed makeover.

Comprehensive final scoring criteria (100 points maximum):

Basic service volume (20 points maximum): The baseline assessment volume over the five-day tour is 20 dogs (a target of four dogs per day). The Contestant earns one (1) point for each dog receiving a compliant service that meets the standard, up to a maximum of 20 points.

Public voting (40 points maximum): Points are calculated proportionally based on the total votes received across all of a Contestant’s entries, with a conversion rate of up to 40 points (40%); the maximum is 40 points. Examples: 100 total votes = 40 points; 80 total votes = 32 points; 200 votes also caps at 40 points.

Professional judges’ score (30 points maximum): A panel of three authoritative industry judges will score the Contestants. Each Judge may award up to 10 points, for a combined maximum of 30 points.

Daily special-task bonus (10 points maximum): Each day’s touring task includes a specific additional challenge. The judging criteria and bonus-point details will be announced on the day each task begins.

Determination of winners: The Contestant with the highest total Final Score for this stage will be the champion, the second-highest will be the runner-up, and the third-highest will take third place. Winners must pass eligibility verification.

Ties: (1) The Contestant with the higher professional judges’ score takes priority; (2) the Contestant with the higher “Technical Skill” score under the judging criteria takes priority; (3) the Contestant with the higher “Pet Comfort and Welfare” score under the judging criteria takes priority; and (4) the Judges will decide by majority vote.

(d) General statement

The odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible entries. The Competition is a skill-based competition; chance plays no part in determining the winners.

11. Prizes, Pet Welfare, and On-Site Safety (continued)

(b) Five-Day In-Person Final — Pet Welfare and On-Site Safety

(i) For all pets participating in the in-person stages of the competition, if a pet exhibits signs of stress, sustains an injury, or develops an illness, the Organizer reserves the right to immediately terminate the contestant's hands-on grooming session for that day and, depending on the circumstances, disqualify the contestant from the competition.

(ii) Pets must be treated humanely throughout all grooming procedures. Violence, intimidation, or harm to a Pet is strictly prohibited. Judges will observe the Pets’ condition on site, and their observations will directly contribute to the “Pet Comfort and Welfare” scoring criterion in Appendix C.

If a potential winner does not respond within [3] days after the initial notification, or fails to return the required documents by the specified deadline (including an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Release of Liability/Publicity Rights, IRS Form W-9, and any other required forms), the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in accordance with Section 10.

(c) Potential winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Release of Liability/Publicity Rights (and any required tax forms) within [3] days after notification. Failure to return the documents, or discovery of any disqualifying information, will result in disqualification.

(c) In the event of fraud, technical failure, force majeure, or any other event that compromises the integrity or proper administration of the Competition, the Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition, in whole or in part, and to cancel or adjust the schedule after posting notice on the Competition website.

(d) A disqualified Contestant is not entitled to any prize or compensation. The Sponsor’s decisions on all matters relating to the Competition are final and binding.

(e) Nothing in these Official Rules limits any rights under the CCPA or other applicable law.

15. Release and Indemnification

(a) By entering, each Contestant (and each Pet Owner who submits a Pet Owner Authorization) releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates and subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, Judges, event venues, and each of their respective successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from liability, and agrees to hold them harmless from all claims, damages, losses, and liabilities of any kind arising out of or relating to: participation in the Competition; acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize; authorized use of any Contestant’s or Pet’s name, likeness, image, or materials; aggressive behavior by a Pet, or any activity related to the Competition.

(c)  The Sponsor and Judges reserve the right, at any time, to require a Contestant to stop grooming for animal welfare or safety reasons, including but not limited to cases where a Pet exhibits extreme aggression, severe stress, or poor health. The aggregate liability of the Sponsor and the Released Parties shall not exceed the value of the prize awarded to the relevant Contestant.

(c) Nothing in these Official Rules excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

17. General Provisions

(a) The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

(b) If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

(c) The Sponsor may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Official Rules.

(d) The Competition and these Official Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
